Jane Austen is one of the best writers ever. No wonder then, that is Bath, where she has lived for several years, a veritable place of pilgrimage for those who love their books. And that there is even a movie made about it, is also not surprising.
As always prevail while filming on the set of jealousy, ambition, vanity and intrigue before. Not as often, however, the shoot end up like this time: The main character is murdered. This is hardly surprising, for Martyna has done everything to make himself unpopular, and was very successful. Suicidal thoughts harbored so many film people, but just Honey Driver, participating as an extra device, under suspicion.
This is the first book on the amateur detective, Driver Honey, I've read, and I'm glad I'm late, but after all, came across this series. I enjoyed this very British crime thriller with its quirky characters very well. A plot that could have come from the pen of one of the traditional British crime Ladies and pleasant dose of local color, sympathetic characters, a smooth, relaxed style of writing - short, simple, good. Just the right book to cuddle up with a nice cup of tea on the couch and hide the winter.
